Features
This add-on allows you to send notifications to non-WordPress users.
With this add-on you can:
- Send notifications to an email address that has been manually typed into the ‘Send To’ box.
- If you have the Custom Fields add-on installed and activated, you can send notifications to an email address stored in a custom field by adding the shortcode to the ‘Send To’ box.
- If you have the Per-post Override add-on installed and activated, you can send notifications to an email address that has been manually typed or a custom field by adding the shortcode to the Notifications meta box.
You can use manually typed email addresses, copied and pasted email addresses from a comma separated list, or use custom field shortcodes in addition to selecting User Roles or Users in the Send To box as normal.
Example
You need to send notifications to WordPress users and a few clients who don’t have WordPress user accounts for your website. You do so by manually typing their email addresses into the ‘Send To’ box when setting up the notification.
Alternatively, you need to let a client know of changes to a page so you add their email address to a custom field on the page and set-up the notification to send notifications to the email address stored in the custom field by adding the custom field shortcode to the ‘Send To’ box when setting up the notification.
